“Some of Chicago’s most fashionable notables wore Jason Wu for a benefit runway show featuring the designer’s upcoming fall line last night.

A few hundred guests dressed to the nines sipped wine and Champagne and nibbled at appetizers before sitting down for the whirlwind presentation of designs by Mr. Wu, famous for dressing first lady Michelle Obama at the last inauguration.

The event was held at the Modern Wing at the Art Institute.

Last night’s designs were fitted, sleek and in Mr. Wu’s favorite colors, deep greens and purples, black and beige.”
